![]() Yvonne Parchment Associate Professor of Nursing |
Yvonne Parchment taught at Teachers’ College in Jamaica where she specialized in early childhood education. She
returned to nursing in 1979 and to nursing education in 1994. She’s a Clinical Associate Professor in the College
of Nursing and Health Science at Florida International University where she teaches Medical-Surgical Nursing,
Patho-physiology, Fundamentals of Nursing, Nursing Care of the Older Adult, Transition to Nursing (RN-BSN), and
Leadership. She has conducted research in Prostate Cancer in Blacks: Health Habits, Dehydration in Older Adults. She
has contributed various articles to health magazines such as "Prostate Cancer in African American and Caribbean Males:
Detriment in Delay" published in the ABNF Journal November/December 2004.
She enjoys dancing and reading. She lives by her favorite quote, "Be proactive: engage and exercise your brain or lose it." |
