Dr. Caruso completed his undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences at the College of New Jersey (1997). He received
the MBA degree at Rutgers University (2002). He earned the MD degree at the UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School
(2003).
He has served as a Surgical Intern, Urology Resident, and Chief Resident in Urology within the Department of Urology at the University of Miami – Jackson Health System residency training program (2003-2008). He graduated with the "Honors in Research" and "Best Laparoendoscopic Resident Surgeon" awards. Dr. Caruso is presently working as a Clinical Instructor of Urology at the University of Miami. This position affords him the opportunity to work as a Fellow under the tutelage of Dr. Angelo Gousse. He is specializing in the management of patients with voiding dysfunction, pelvic organ prolapse, and neurogenic bladder. Dr. Caruso’s research interests include biomarkers for prostate cancer and the clinical applications of Botox-A injections in the bladder for the treatment of overactive bladder. He has presented at national and international conferences on these topics. Dr. Caruso will be going into private practice in July 2009 in the Jupiter/Palm Beach Garden area of Palm Beach County, Florida. |
