Florida State Representative (D-108)
Representative Brisé was elected to the Florida House of Representatives in 2006 and subsequently re-elected without opposition. He is a Whip in the Democratic Caucus and he is the Vice-President of the Black Caucus. He is the Democratic Ranking Member for the State & Community Colleges & Workforce Appropriations Committee and serves on the Full Appropriations Council on Education & Economic Development, the Energy & Utilities Policy Committee and the State Universities & Private Colleges Policy Committee.

During his first term as Representative for District 108, Representative Brisé’s Legislative Accomplishments included the following:
  • The introduction of a Constitutional Amendment on Basic Property Rights (Constitutional Ballot Initiative #1 in 2008 November Election)
  • The Re-creation of the Digital Divide Council
  • The Amendment of Requirements for Licensure of Psychologists to Increase Effectiveness
  • The Establishment of Special Observances "Child Welfare Professionals Recognition Day"
  • He Secured millions of dollars in appropriations for county and city projects
Representative Brisé is a member of several Professional and Civic Organizations that include the National Science Teachers Association, the Adventist Science Educators Association, the Adventist Black Educators Association, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the NAACP, and the Haitian American Scholarship Fund.

Representative Brisé graduated from Oakwood College in Huntsville, AL, with a bachelor's degree in Biology Education. He taught biology and life science courses at Miami Union Academy for 5 years. He also served as Chairperson of the Science Department, Sponsor for the Student Government, basketball coach, trumpet coach, and Vice-President of the Teacher's Association. He is currently the Vice-President of Miami Union Academy’s Alumni Association. He then went on to earn two MBA degrees in Marketing and Management from American Intercontinental University.

Representative Brisé is married to Jo An Salomon Brisé, a registered nurse, and together they have a 2- year old son.
