Ralph Gilles was appointed Vice President of Product Design in 2006. He currently oversees the Jeep, Truck, and Advance Interior Design Studios. Gilles joined Chrysler's Product Design Office in 1992. In 2001 he was promoted to Design Director of Specialty and Premium Vehicles. There, he led the design team of the most award-winning vehicle ever — the 2005 Chrysler 300. That Studio also produced the 2005 Dodge Magnum, 2006 Dodge Charger, 2006 Dodge Viper Coupe, and the all new 2008 Chrysler Town & Country and Dodge Caravan.

Gilles, of Haitian descent, was born in 1970 in New York, NY, and grew up in Montreal, Canada. His education includes a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Transportation Design in 1992 from The College for Creative Studies in Detroit, Michigan, and an Executive MBA in 2002 from Michigan State University.

Gilles currently serves on the Board of Trustees of POH Medical Center in Pontiac, Michigan, and on the Advisory Board of The School of Industrial Design at The College for Creative Studies (CCS) in Detroit, Michigan, where he also taught Senior Transportation Design from 2003 to 2005.

Ralph, his wife Doris, and two daughters live in the Detroit area. He enjoys amateur car racing and travel.
