Odianne Medacier, ARNP
Odiane Medacier graduated from Barry University in 1998 with a Master of Science in Nursing along with a certificate as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner. She currently works at the Public Health Trust/Jackson Memorial Hospital in the Department of Anesthesia & Pre-anesthesia where she’s involved in risk stratification of patient from pediatric to geriatric population in addition to supervising patient appointments and customer service. Odianne precepts students in the ARNP programs (anesthesia, family, adults, pediatrics) at the Public Health Trust.

Ms. Medacier also works at Miami-Dade College, Medical Campus as an Adjunct Professor: Clinical Instructor. Her duties include: Teaching Med-Surg, psychiatric, obstetric and pediatric nursing to Accelerated Option nursing students for eligibility of an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN). It involves classroom and clinical teaching.

She’s a member of Sigma Theta Tau International. Ms. Medacier has served as the Treasurer of the Haitian American Nurses Association of Florida, Inc since 2005. She is the Co-chair of means and ways for The Advanced Practice Council of South East Florida. She held the position of Vice-chair of Advanced Practice Council of Jackson Memorial Hospital from 2003-2005 and is currently the Continuing Education Coordinator for Advanced Practice Council at Jackson Memorial Hospital.

Ms. Medacier is also a member of Peniel Baptist Church and of the Advisory Board for Haitian American Social Workers. She’s the President of Helping Hands of Shalom orphanage in Haiti. Her awards include Nurse of the Year by the Haitian-American Nurses Association (HANA) in 2006. That same year she received the Award of Excellence from the Department of Education at Public Health Trust. She is the author of various nursing articles including "What you need to know about Avian Flu: ‘Bird Flu’" which was published in the Haitian American Nurses Association of Florida, Inc (HANA) Newsletter 04/2006. She also lectures on various medical subjects and participates in community health fairs.
